What was the name of that army game? by 2008-02-27 04:08:26

Must get a lot of these questions on here, but I need help remembering a game's name. It was a side scroller, like predator, but you were this Rambo guy who could use a variety of weapons. I think he starts with a knife. Oh yeah, he can sneak up behind baddies, i think by going behind a truck or something, and come out and slit their throat. You also could leave detonators. You could walk, climb or crawl.
The game came in one of the magazines as a demo so I only knew the first small part. There was a bridge towards the end where you could go into the water, crawl if you like, and could run out of air.
Ahhh... what a nice game. Short, but great.
Any ideas????
Thanks!

Metal Gear? Your description doesn't sound like it's an Atari game...

It was on the NES. I don't know of any game like that on any Atari console. Maybe it was on one of the computers (8-bit or ST.)

I have a feeling this might have been 'Green Beret' by Ocean Software which was a huge smash in the UK on 8-bit machines such as the C64, Sinclair Spectrum and Amstrad CPC and was eventually ported to the Atari 8-bits.
