So... with all the hub bub recently... Did anyone think this game is better than it's made out to be?

This game is not as bad as many say it is. It certainly did not cause the North American video game crash either. I think people didn't like that fact that the instructions had to be read to play the game. Given the short time the programmer had to create this game, it is truly a nice bit of programming.

There were literally over a dozen gaming and computer platforms out by 1983/1984 (unlike how everything computer-related is either Apple or PC nowadays, back then it was the various Atari and Apple computers, PC, Tandy/TI stuff, Timex ((Sinclair)), and several others), along with thousands of software titles to go with them. Anyone who thinks ONE game out of all those platforms is either an idiot or just naive (to put the latter politely).

I wouldn't go quite that far!
No, the game wasn't as bad as a lot of people say, it's just pretty hard with the fast-moving F. B. I. agent, and without him it's too easy. But some games didn't even have difficulty settings/game variations as it was, which was ridiculous!

Oh, the game has its bugs but given he had 5 weeks to work on it (when most game programmers had months to develop a game), it is an accomplishment. Not a perfect one, by any stretch, but still...
