Best Classic Arcade Ports by Bill Jandrue 2007-04-28 20:50:38
This page settles the issue. Atari 7800 has the best classic arcade home ports availabe. If this system did not sit in a warehouse for three years and if the joypad was available in the U.S. and Canada, this system would be getting as much fanfare as the more popular/more inferior Colecovision. Of course the "If" game is always easy in hindsight. My new 7800 joypad is on its way to my mailbox.
"arcade to" comparisons by Rodrigo Gasparotto 2008-09-17 10:17:51
After looking at all the "arcade to" comparisons articles, it's clear that Atari 2600 versions are weaker; Atari 5200, a little better, and Atari 7800 the best. But, at the 7800 era, NES was already on top, and the classic arcade game era, with it's popular titles, was gone (not for the nostalgic people, like me).
