Excellent!

KLAX is a game much like Tetris -- It can be done on tons of platforms and never get old. Some of KLAX's other stomping grounds include the Sega Genesis, Game Boy and even the Atari 2600. For every new version of KLAX that comes out though, hard-core KLAX fans compare it to the Lynx's to see how they stack up.

For those of you that haven't yet played it, in KLAX different colored blocks approach you and you must match them three in a row so that they are eliminated. The farther in the game you get, and the more colored blocks you receive and the faster they move. Some stages also have a certain task you must complete: only certain matches count, score a certain number of points, more then three are the only ones that count and so on help to keep this game challenging and fun.

Also just like Tetris, this is a game that keeps you coming back because you just know that you could've done better. One drop can mean the difference between beating a level and blowing it, and attempting to gain this level of perfection is great fun.

The graphics in KLAX are stupendous if you take the tiny screen into consideration. The game features different backgrounds and the blocks really look like they have depth. There isn't a system to date that has nicer looking graphics then the Lynx's version, and that is incredible because of the screen size alone.

The sound effects are dead on, and help to round this game out to be one of the best puzzle games of all time. At times the game will even talk to you. That's right! Incredibly good sounding voice is a feature that was included in this game! Not just do you get almost comical "BOING" noises as you flip the tiles around, but there is a computer voice that informs you of what you are set out to accomplish on the next level. It's not at all important to game play, but it sure is fun.

KLAX on the Lynx is the type of game that you buy a system for. Not just is the game play solid, but the graphics and the sound effects back up an already addicting game and take it up to the next level. If you like games akin to Tetris (and who doesn't?), then this may be a worthwhile purchase for you.
