Don't do it.

I wanted to cry upon playing this game! It should have been good, darn it!

Poor

I loved the Lynx version, and when I heard that Rebellion were coding this one, I was in heaven. However, upon hearing the initial reviews those years ago, I avoided it like the plague. When Jaguar games went on sale cheap, I got it for $15. And to this day, I still feel ripped off! The graphics are nice and better than Virtua Racing, but it's the control that ruins the whole thing. An extra two weeks of development time would have made this an extremely good game. Which is why it's so tragic it turned out the way it did.

What kills it? Awful Control.

Makes a great Jag Dust co by Pete 2006-10-18 12:21:53
Hey this game is great you stick it in the Jag between uses and it keeps the dust out, never have to blow the dust out of the Jag with this patten freindly game. If you lose the box to the game who cares did you ever want anyone knowing this game excist, It does more to hurt the Jag's name then to help it
CF = crappy control by LS650 2006-10-18 13:58:00
Not bad "for the day" poly graphics, but the steering input is absolutely horrendous. The game doesn't seem to go a good job of polling for input, so you can't have moderate steering - it's either nothing, or the car goes shooting off the track wildly. If only the programmers had spent a bit more time playtesting the controls, this might have been a half-decent game!
Not so bad... by Joćo 2006-11-02 20:22:53
I mean... Of course the controls are... uhm... uncommon... but if you spend some time (and patience) training on it you can get some tapping tricks and timing to handle the car... I think that Atari tried (and failed for most) to implement a new driving game style: The longer you press the key the most you turn the driving wheel... What kill this game for me is that there's no 2 player mode... This is a real prove of lazyness... PS: English is not my native language I hope I made myself clear ;-)
