Great

This was to be the Jaguar's Mortal Kombat killer, and it doesn't quite live up to the popular one's visceral carnage. It tries though, sometimes comically. And I don't mean that in a good way. The comical part comes into play with the "over the top" death sequences. They've tried to improve on the pit from MK, but it just doesn't work and probably should have been left out completely.

Graphics are nice at times, but the animation isn't so great. In fact, it's quite choppy. Turning on the speed cheat makes it play better, but not by much. The sounds are clear and the punching (the primary sound effect) sounds devastating enough.

As a game, I've found it mostly enjoyable, but there aren't too many combos or juggles to be found. Also, the controls don't live up to the promise of MK as the special moves don't always come off as you would like. It's good fun, but doesn't fulfill it's ultimate promise.
